Ekiti State Opens 2025/2026 Scholarship and Bursary Applications for Tertiary Students

The Ekiti State Scholarship Board has officially opened its 2025/2026 Scholarship and Bursary Award applications for qualified Ekiti State indigenes studying in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

The Board confirmed that all applications are free of charge and must be completed online only via its official application portal. The application window runs for just under three weeks, and late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Postgraduate Scholarships (Master’s & Ph.D)

Master’s Degree Applicants

  • Must have at least a Second Class Upper (2:1) at undergraduate level

Ph.D Applicants

  • Must have:
    • A Second Class Upper (2:1) first degree
    • A Distinction in Master’s Degree
  • Applicants with a first degree below Second Class Upper are NOT eligible, even with a Master’s distinction

Handicapped Scholarship Award (Physically Challenged)

Physically challenged Ekiti State students are eligible across the following institutions:

  • Polytechnics

  • Schools of Nursing/Midwifery
  • Colleges of Health Technology
  • Postgraduate institutions

Who Is Not Eligible?

The Scholarship Board clearly states that:

  • Part-Time students
  • Sandwich programme students

are NOT eligible for any bursary or scholarship award under this scheme.
