EAUED Orders Students to Quit NEOLIFE, Bans Recruitment Activities, Sets Jan 30 Deadline
Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo, has ordered all students to immediately disengage from activities linked to an organisation known as NEOLIFE, warning that defaulters will face disciplinary action.
In an official notice issued by the university management, EAUED said it received multiple reports that NEOLIFE is actively recruiting students into its business operations, a development the institution described as illegal and harmful to students’ academic progress.
The directive, which takes immediate effect, applies to all students of the university, regardless of level or department.
What EAUED Has Banned
According to the management, students must stop the following activities immediately:
- Working with or for NEOLIFE in any capacity
- Recruiting fellow students into NEOLIFE, both on campus and off campus
The university stressed that no form of NEOLIFE-related work or recruitment is permitted after the release of the notice.
Deadline for Current Members
For students who are already members of the organisation, EAUED provided a clear exit timeline:
- All current NEOLIFE members must resign and quit the organisation on or before January 30, 2026.
The university described this date as final, with no extensions mentioned.
Disciplinary Action Awaits Defaulters
EAUED warned that any student caught after this notice engaging in NEOLIFE activities or recruitment will be disciplined in line with university regulations.
In a strong warning tone, the notice added that spies would be deployed to identify and report erring students—a claim stated explicitly in the university’s communication.
Management emphasized that it would no longer tolerate any form of involvement with NEOLIFE on or around the university environment.
Support for Students Who Want to Exit
The university acknowledged concerns raised by some students who reportedly faced harassment and intimidation after attempting to leave the organisation. It described such experiences as humiliating and unacceptable.
To ensure student safety and well-being, EAUED advised affected students to seek help through an official channel:
- Contact the Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA) office for guidance and support on exiting NEOLIFE.
Why This Matters
University authorities say the decision is aimed at protecting students’ academic focus, safety, and dignity, urging all students to prioritise their education and personal well-being.
As the January 30 deadline approaches, students are advised to comply fully with the directive to avoid disciplinary consequences.
