BUK Library Registration Begins June 30 — What Every New Student Must Know
If you’ve just secured admission into Bayero University, Kano (BUK) for the 2024/2025 academic session, there’s one important task you must complete: library registration.
This is not a suggestion. It’s a mandatory part of your onboarding as a BUK student, and failure to register may affect your access to key academic resources throughout your time at the university.
When Does BUK Library Registration Start?
Start Date: Monday, 30th June 2025
Mode: In-person only (no online registration)
What You Must Bring Along
Before you head to the library, make sure you come with these three essential items:
- Printed Student Information Form (SIF)
- One recent passport-sized photograph
- Proof of Admission (e.g., your admission letter or an official admission slip)
Important: If you’re missing any of these documents, you will not be attended to. No exceptions.
Registration Timetable
To avoid long queues or delays, stick to the official registration hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Tip: Fridays have shorter hours, so come early if you plan to register that day.
Where Should You Register?
The registration venue depends on your faculty:
- Law, Agriculture, Engineering, and Communication students
Report to your faculty library directly. - Students in other faculties located at Old Campus
Register at the College of Natural and Pharmaceutical Sciences Library (formerly known as the Science Library).
