BUK Extends Post-UTME Screening Deadline for 2025/2026 Admission — See New Date, Cut-Off Marks and How to Apply

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially extended the deadline for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME online screening exercise, giving prospective candidates extra time to complete their registration.

New Deadline: The registration portal will now close on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The university management emphasized that this is the final extension, and no further grace period will be granted. All prospective students are advised to take advantage of this window and complete their applications without delay.


Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for the BUK Post-UTME screening:

  • You must have chosen BUK as your first choice in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
  • You must meet the faculty-specific cut-off marks (BUK does not use a single cut-off for all courses).

Some courses accept 160 and above, while others like Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy require 200–240 UTME scores.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for BUK Post-UTME 2025/2026

Step 1: Visit the official BUK website and click on “2025 UTME Online Screening Exercise.”

Step 2: Login with your JAMB Registration Number (username) and UTME aggregate score (password).

Step 3: Fill in your details carefully. Your JAMB photo will be used throughout your studies, so double-check before submitting.

Step 4: Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee via Remita:

  • Online with an ATM card or internet banking, OR
  • Print the invoice and pay at any commercial bank.

Step 5: Print your acknowledgement slip. (If you paid at the bank, return to the portal, confirm your payment, then print the slip.)

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Upload your O’Level results to JAMB CAPS. Without this, you will not be considered.
  • You can combine two O’Level results at most.
  • Blind and international candidates are exempted from the test but must still register online.
  • Any false information leads to disqualification.
  • Missing the deadline means you’re automatically out—no late registration.
