AKSU Launches Full-Time Law Programme for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer a full-time Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree programme starting from the 2025/2026 academic session. The approval was granted via an NUC letter dated 10th November 2025.

The university has opened online applications for students who meet the entry requirements and aspire to pursue Law at AKSU, Ikot Akpaden.

  • The LL.B. programme is full-time and fully compliant with NUC standards for Law education in Nigerian universities.
  • Teaching, screening, and all academic activities will be conducted at AKSU, Ikot Akpaden.

Eligibility: Who Can Study Law at AKSU?

Prospective students must meet the following criteria to qualify for admission:

  1. AKSU must be chosen as the first choice in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
  2. Candidates must score a minimum of 280 in UTME.

Students who did not select AKSU as their first choice can apply for a Change of Institution via JAMB as early as possible.

  • Registration opens on Monday, 17th November 2025, via the AKSU admission portal.
  • Only candidates who complete the online registration will be considered for admission.
  • Early registration is encouraged to allow sufficient time for document uploads and verification.

  • 2025 UTME Result Slip
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Origin
  • AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip (2025)

  1. Visit the AKSU admission portal
  2. Click “START NOW”“Enrol”“PUTME”.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and verify details.
  4. Pay the N2,000 registration fee (bank charges excluded) via debit card or bank transfer.
  5. Upload scanned copies of required documents (UTME slip, Birth Certificate, Certificate of Origin) within 120KB–150KB.
  6. Preview and confirm all details.
  7. Click “Finish” to generate the AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip.

During screening, AKSU will verify:

  • UTME score (280 and above)
