AKSCOE Announces ₦5,000 Matriculation Gown Fee for 2025/2026 Fresh Students

The Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE) has officially released payment guidelines for newly admitted students ahead of the 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony, detailing the approved fee, payment channel, and deadline.

In a notice issued by the Office of the Bursar, the college directed all fresh students admitted into approved programmes to promptly pay the mandatory matriculation gown fee to ensure smooth participation in the ceremony.


₦5,000 Matriculation Gown Fee Explained

According to the statement, every newly admitted student scheduled to matriculate must pay a sum of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000).

The directive applies to students admitted into the following programmes:

  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
  • Degree programmes
  • Direct Entry programmes

The gown fee is compulsory for participation in the matriculation ceremony.

AKSCOE provided the official bank details for the payment as follows:

Students are advised to ensure accuracy when making payments to avoid delays or complications.

Payment Deadline Students Must Note

The college emphasized that payment is open immediately and will close on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.

Fresh students are strongly encouraged to complete payment within the stipulated period to prevent issues during matriculation activities.

The notice was formally signed by the Acting Bursar, Mrs. Jenny I. Mkpanam, CNA. Copies of the directive were circulated to key college authorities, including:

  • The Provost
  • The Registrar
  • Directorate of ICT
  • Directorate of Medical Services
  • Dean of Student Affairs
  • Students’ Union Government (SUG)

The information has also been posted on official notice boards across the campus.
