Ahman Pategi University Earns Permanent License: A New Era for Private Education in Nigeria
In a significant development for Nigeria’s educational landscape, the National Universities Commission (NUC) has awarded a permanent license to Ahman Pategi University (APU). This milestone marks a pivotal moment in the university’s evolution as a reputable private institution.
APU first received its provisional license from the NUC on April 8, 2021. The recent grant of a permanent license comes after a comprehensive verification process conducted in June 2024, showcasing the university’s readiness to operate at full capacity.
This permanent license highlights APU’s commitment to building robust infrastructure, attracting qualified faculty, and fostering innovative research initiatives. As a result, APU is emerging as a key player in Nigeria’s private tertiary education sector.
On October 30, 2024, Dr. Amina Ahman Pategi received the license certificate at the NUC office in Abuja on behalf of her late father, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bahago Ahman Pategi, the university’s founder. Dr. Pategi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NUC, emphasizing that this license validates APU’s dedication to providing high-quality education.
With this new status, APU is poised to expand its academic programs, establish industry partnerships, and enhance research collaborations. The university’s upgraded position solidifies its role as a center of academic excellence, dedicated to nurturing individuals who will contribute to the nation’s growth.
This achievement not only elevates APU but also enriches Nigeria’s higher education landscape, inspiring future generations of learners.
