ADUSTECH Releases 2024/2025 Academic Calendar: Key Dates for Students and Staff
The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH) has officially unveiled its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, providing a roadmap for students and staff throughout the academic year. The comprehensive schedule includes important dates for registration, exams, holidays, and various academic activities.
Key Dates to Remember for 2024/2025 Academic Session
University Opening:
- Sunday, November 24, 2024: ADUSTECH opens for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Fresh and Returning Students’ Registration:
- Monday, November 25 – Saturday, December 14, 2024: Workshops for staff and registration for fresh students.
- Monday, December 16 – Saturday, December 28, 2024: Registration for returning students, alongside orientation and matriculation for fresh students.
Lectures Begin:
- Tuesday, January 2 – Saturday, March 29, 2025: Lectures for all students begin. The first continuous assessment will take place from February 3 – February 7, 2025, and the second assessment runs from March 3 – March 8, 2025.
Semester Break & Holidays:
- March 31 – April 26, 2025: First-semester examinations and Easter holidays on April 18 and April 21, 2025.
- March 31 – April 1, 2025: Eid-el-Fitr holidays.
- April 28 – May 10, 2025: Semester break for students. Faculty will focus on marking and result submission during this period.
Second Semester Begins:
- Monday, May 12 – Saturday, August 9, 2025: Lectures for the second semester begin. The first continuous assessment will run from June 23 – June 28, 2025, with Democracy Day observed on June 12, 2025.
- June 9 – June 8, 2025: Eid-el-Kabir holidays.
Second Semester Examinations:
- Monday, August 11 – Saturday, September 6, 2025: Second-semester exams will be held, followed by result marking and submission.
Special Programmes:
- September 8 – December 6, 2025: SIWES and SWEP programmes.
Next Academic Session:
- Monday, November 10, 2025: The 2025/2026 academic session kicks off.
