AAUA 14th Convocation Ceremony Set to Celebrate Academic Excellence
November 2025 – The Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) is set to host its 14th Convocation Ceremony from Friday, 5th December to Sunday, 14th December 2025. The week-long celebration will gather students, staff, families, and guests to mark academic achievements across undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree programs.
The convocation will also feature prize presentations, sports events, religious services, a research fair, cultural performances, and networking opportunities for graduands and visitors. The University Multipurpose Hall serves as the main venue, while other activities will take place across the AAUA Central Mosque, University Sports Centre, Senate Chamber, Students Relaxation Centre, and Senate Building Piazza.

Friday, 5th Dec – Jumat Service

Students, staff, and visitors kick off the weekend with light exercises promoting health and wellness.
Monday, 8th Dec – Press Conference

- Time: 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, 9th Dec – Research Fair & Convocation Play

Wednesday, 10th Dec – Friendly Match

University teams engage in a friendly football match promoting school spirit and community bonding.
Thursday, 11th Dec – Convocation Lecture & Graduands’ Cocktail
- Lecture: “Strengthening the Academic Tradition in the Nigerian University System” by Professor Idowu Olayinka, 2:00 p.m., University Multipurpose Hall
- Graduands’ Cocktail: 5:00 p.m., Senate Building Piazza

Friday, 12th Dec – First Degrees & Prize Presentations
- Faculties: Administration & Management Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, Institute of Education, Institute of Part-Time Programs

Graduands receive degrees, followed by prize presentations for outstanding achievements.
Saturday, 13th Dec – Additional Degrees & Awards
- Faculties: Agriculture, Arts, Environmental Design & Management, Law, Science
- Events include postgraduate diplomas, higher degree awards, prizes, and a convocation luncheon at the Senate Building / University Guest House.
Sunday, 14th Dec – Interdenominational Service
- Venue: University Multipurpose Hall
- Time: 10:00 a.m.
