Bingham University Unveils Full Programme for Its 6th Convocation Ceremony
Bingham University, located at KM 26 along the Abuja–Keffi Expressway in Kodape, has officially released the detailed lineup of events for its much-anticipated 6th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating academic excellence, innovation, and community growth.
In a statement signed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, the institution extended an open invitation to students, staff, alumni, and the public to participate in the week-long celebration, which will run from Sunday, November 9 to Saturday, November 15, 2025.
A Week of Celebration, Reflection, and Achievement
Sunday, November 9, 2025 – Commemorative Church Service
The Convocation Week will open with a thanksgiving service at the University Chapel by 10:00 a.m., bringing together students, parents, and faculty members for a time of worship and gratitude.
Tuesday, November 11, 2025 – Vice Chancellor’s Press Conference
Professor Ayuba will host the press at the Senate Chamber by 11:00 a.m. to discuss the university’s milestones, strategic goals, and vision for the future.
Wednesday, November 12, 2025 – Sports Events
By 4:00 p.m., students and staff will converge at the Sports Arena for inter-faculty games and fitness activities designed to foster unity, teamwork, and healthy living.
Thursday, November 13, 2025 – Student Essay Competition and Anniversary Exhibition
The day begins with an essay competition at the Faculty of Architecture Auditorium by 10:00 a.m., aimed at promoting critical thinking and scholarly engagement.
At 11:00 a.m., the W. B. Qurix Senate Building will host an Anniversary Photo Exhibition showcasing iconic moments and the evolution of Bingham University over the years.
Friday, November 14, 2025 – Convocation Lecture, Project Commissioning, and VC’s Luncheon
The day begins at 11:00 a.m. with the official Convocation Lecture at the Faculty of Architecture Auditorium, where distinguished speakers will address contemporary educational and societal issues.
This will be followed by the Commissioning of Projects at the Senate Building by 1:00 p.m., highlighting the university’s infrastructural growth and modernization efforts.
Later in the day, the Vice Chancellor’s Luncheon and Awards Ceremony will take place at the New Law Library by 2:00 p.m., featuring recognition of outstanding individuals and a mini book launch.
Saturday, November 15, 2025 – Main Convocation Ceremony
The grand finale will hold at the University Chapel by 9:00 a.m., where graduating students, proud families, and esteemed guests will gather to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025.
