The Federal University of Education, Zaria has officially commenced the sale of application forms for its Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The one-year part-time programme is specially designed for individuals who hold degrees or higher qualifications and are eager to transition into the teaching profession. It equips candidates with the pedagogical skills and certification recognized by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

What the PDE Programme Offers

The Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) is a one-year intensive academic programme that provides practical teaching experience, professional knowledge, and certification. It runs on a part-time basis, ensuring that working professionals can conveniently attend lectures without interrupting their career commitments.

Lecture Schedule:

• Days: Fridays and Saturdays
• Duration: 12 months

Upon successful completion, graduates become eligible for TRCN registration, making them fully certified teachers in Nigeria
