UNN Releases 2025 Admission Steps for Newly Admitted Candidates
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has outlined essential steps for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2025 academic session. The management urges all successful applicants to complete these processes promptly to secure their places.
1. Upload O’Level Results
Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded on the JAMB portal via an approved CBT centre. Admission processing will not continue without proper verification on the JAMB CAPS platform.
2. Change of Course (If Applicable)
Candidates whose recommended course differs from their initial JAMB application must visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre to update their course to the one suggested by UNN. Afterwards, they should print the updated admission status from CAPS and submit it to the University Admissions Office for confirmation.
3. Acceptance of Admission on JAMB CAPS
Once all necessary steps above are completed, candidates must accept their admission on the JAMB portal. Failure to accept the offer will result in the absence of an official JAMB Admission Letter, effectively treating the candidate as not admitted.
4. Payment of Acceptance Fee
Admitted candidates are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦30,000. Payment can be completed as follows:
- Visit the UNN website or student portal.
- Log in using your JAMB registration number to generate a payment invoice containing a Remita number.
- Make payment at any commercial bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank, using the invoice number.
- Obtain a confirmation slip with both the confirmation and invoice numbers.
5. Printing of Admission Slip and Completing Acceptance Form
After payment, candidates should log back into the UNN portal using their JAMB registration number, confirmation number, and invoice number to print their admission slip and complete the online acceptance form.
6. Registration and Further Payments
Candidates can then proceed with additional fee payments and registration steps as outlined on the UNN website.
Important Notice
All admissions remain provisional. If any candidate is later found not to meet the Senate-approved entry requirements listed in the JAMB Brochure, the admission offer will be withdrawn.
Closing Note
UNN congratulates all candidates admitted through the Direct Entry and JUPEB programmes. The University encourages them to complete their registration on time and prepare for an engaging academic journey at one of Nigeria’s leading institutions of higher learning.
