MAU Yola Calls on Applicants to Switch Programmes as JAMB Extends National Admission Deadline
Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has released a crucial notice to all applicants for the 2025/2026 academic session, urging those not yet admitted into oversubscribed programmes to switch to related courses that still have available admission spaces.
This comes after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) extended the national admission deadline for public universities, allowing schools more time to complete their admission processes.
Why the Change Matters
According to the MAU Admission Office, the adjustment aims to give qualified but unplaced candidates a fair chance at securing admission. However, applicants are strongly advised to switch only to programmes with similar JAMB subject combinations and O’Level requirements.
The university emphasized that all transfers must be accurately done and verified before submission, warning candidates to double-check their JAMB profiles and O’Level uploads after making any change.
