Al-Hikmah University Opens 2025/2026 Postgraduate Admission — Full Details Inside
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has officially announced the commencement of sales for its 2025/2026 postgraduate admission forms, inviting qualified candidates to apply for various Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s, and Doctorate (Ph.D.) programmes across its faculties.
The university stated that its Master of Arts (M.A.) programmes will run for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months on a full-time basis, while the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is offered part-time to suit working professionals.

Admission Requirements
(i) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
- Applicants must hold a first degree from Al-Hikmah University or any recognized university.
- Candidates with HND may also apply, provided they meet the university’s O’level requirements.
(ii) Master’s Degree:
- Candidates must possess at least a Second Class Lower degree.
- Those with a Third Class and a relevant PGD may be considered if they score 60% or above in the qualifying exam.
(iii) Doctorate (Ph.D):
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 60% or its CGPA equivalent.
- Candidates with slightly lower scores (not below 50%) can apply for M.Phil/Ph.D.
- All Ph.D and M.Phil/Ph.D applicants must attend a departmental interview.
All candidates are required to request their official transcripts to be sent directly to the Dean, Postgraduate School, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are to complete their applications online via the Al-Hikmah University Admission Portal:
- Pay the application fee — ₦10,000 for PGD and ₦20,000 for Master’s/Ph.D programmes.
- Fill and submit the online application form.
- Print the completed form and present it at the Bursary Department for the official receipt.
- Submit the printed form, credentials (original and photocopies), and receipt to the Admissions Office for screening.
