Covenant University Launches Major Recruitment Drive for Faculty and Non-Teaching Staff
Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s leading private universities, has announced a major recruitment exercise as part of its ambitious Vision 7:2030 Campus Growth Plan. The institution is inviting qualified candidates to apply for faculty and non-teaching positions in its newly established College of Health Sciences and College of Law.
According to the university, the expansion aims to strengthen its academic base and support world-class teaching, research, and innovation in line with its global vision for 2030.

- Reader (Associate Professor)
- Senior Lecturer

College of Health Sciences
Available Programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Anatomy and Embryology
- Physiology
Qualifications and Experience:
Professor
- PhD in the relevant field, with at least 12 years of university teaching, research, and professional experience.
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications, postgraduate supervision, and research leadership.
- For Medicine and Surgery: MBBS or BDS, MDCN registration, and an MDCN-recognised Specialty Fellowship, with 9+ years post-fellowship experience.
Reader (Associate Professor)
- PhD with 10 years of relevant experience and solid research record.
- For Medicine and Surgery: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and 6+ years post-fellowship experience.
Senior Lecturer
- PhD with 5 years of university-level teaching and research.
- Proven publications and research output.
- For clinical fields: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and 3+ years post-fellowship experience.
Lecturer I
- PhD with 3 years of teaching/research experience.
- For clinical fields: MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and Specialty Fellowship.
Lecturer II
- MBBS/BDS, MDCN registration, and a Master’s degree or Postgraduate Medical College membership.
- PhD registration is an added advantage.
College of Law
Available Programmes:
- Private and Public Law
- Commercial and International Law
Qualifications and Experience:
Professor
- PhD in Law, 12+ years of post-qualification experience, and a strong research record.
- Must be a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), preferably NALT or similar.
Reader (Associate Professor)
- PhD with 9+ years of academic experience and strong publication record.
- Must hold active membership in the NBA or similar professional bodies.
Senior Lecturer
- PhD with 6+ years of teaching and research.
- Active NBA membership required; postgraduate supervision is an advantage.
Lecturer I
- PhD or LL.M with strong teaching or legal practice experience.
- Must be an NBA member.
Lecturer II
- LL.M with at least a Second Class Upper degree in Law and call to the Bar.
- PhD enrolment or readiness is preferred.
Non-Teaching Positions
Technologists (ICT and E-Learning Resources)
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Educational Technology.
- Certifications in LMS administration, multimedia, or e-learning tools are desirable.
College and Departmental Administrators
- BSc or HND in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Sociology, or related fields.
- Diploma in office or records management is an advantage.
- Experience in higher education administration is preferred.
