UNIPORT ACE-CEFOR Opens 2025/2026 Postgraduate Admission in Oilfield and Energy Studies
The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), through its World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR), has officially announced the commencement of admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Established in 2013, ACE-CEFOR has become a regional hub for advanced education, innovation, and capacity building in the petroleum and allied industries across Africa. The Centre’s postgraduate programmes are internationally accredited and designed to strengthen manpower development, support sustainable research, and enhance professional competence in the energy and environmental sectors.

Admission Requirements (Ph.D.):
- A relevant M.Sc. degree from UNIPORT or another accredited university.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.
- At least 3.0 CGPA in the first degree.
Programme Duration:
The doctoral programme runs for 36 calendar months, combining modular coursework and industry-based research projects.
