CDCFIB Announces Upcoming CBT for Shortlisted Applicants — Warns Against Recruitment Scams

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has expressed deep appreciation to thousands of applicants for their patience as the ongoing recruitment process nears its next stage.

In a recent update, the Board confirmed that a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates will soon be conducted across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the statement, applicants who applied for positions in any of the four services — the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) — are advised to visit the official portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng next week.

The portal will enable candidates to check their shortlisting status, exam dates, time, and designated CBT centres. The Board emphasised that the official website remains the only verified platform for all recruitment-related updates and cautioned against visiting or providing personal details to fake or cloned websites.

CDCFIB Reiterates: “Recruitment Is Free of Charge”

The Board restated that no applicant should pay any money or offer any form of gratification to secure a position. Every phase of the recruitment is completely free, transparent, and merit-based.

Applicants are urged to ignore anyone claiming to have inside connections or offering to influence the selection process. CDCFIB warned that such individuals are fraudsters and that any attempt to pay for favours could result in disqualification and possible prosecution.

“Applicants should rely strictly on official channels for information. No one is authorised to collect money or personal banking details,” the statement read.

Fairness, Transparency, and Integrity at the Core

The CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to fairness and transparency, noting that the ongoing recruitment aims to identify only qualified and deserving Nigerians for the respective services.

Officials have assured the public that all applications are processed with integrity to protect both the credibility of the recruitment and the safety of applicants.

Stay Updated and Stay Safe

The Board urged candidates to monitor the official portal regularly for authentic updates and to be cautious of unverified messages or social media posts impersonating CDCFIB officials.

Any suspicious communication or request for payment should be reported immediately to the nearest security office or via CDCFIB’s verified contact channels.

Closing Remark

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board thanked all applicants for their cooperation and patience, reassuring them that the recruitment process will be concluded fairly, efficiently, and transparently.

“Stay informed, be patient, and trust the official process,” the statement concluded.
