AKSU Opens Supplementary Post-UTME Registration for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially announced the commencement of its supplementary Post-UTME registration for the 2025/2026 academic session, offering prospective students a second opportunity to secure admission into various faculties and programs.

The registration portal will remain open from Monday, September 29, 2025, to Friday, October 17, 2025. According to the university, no late applications will be entertained after the deadline.


Courses Available for AKSU Supplementary Post-UTME

The supplementary admission exercise covers several faculties with specific subject combinations and entry requirements.

Faculty of Agriculture

  • Programmes: Agricultural Economics & Extension, Animal Science, Crop Science, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Soil Science
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Mathematics or Physics
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Agricultural Science

Faculty of Arts

  • Programme: Religious and Cultural Studies
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK), and two other subjects
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits including English Language and Christian Religious Studies

Faculty of Biological Sciences

  • Programmes: Botany, Marine Biology, Zoology
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology

Faculty of Education

  • Programmes: Education & Mathematics, Education & Physics, Education & Chemistry, Education & Integrated Science
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology

Faculty of Engineering

  • Programmes: Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one other science subject

Faculty of Physical Sciences

  • Programmes: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
  • O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology

Requirements for Online Screening

Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents on the AKSU portal:

  • 2025 UTME result slip
  • Direct Entry (DE) registration slip (for DE candidates)
  • HND, ND, NCE, or A-Level certificate (for DE candidates)
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate of origin
  • AKSU Post-UTME/DE registration confirmation slip

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply

  1. Visit the AKSU application portal
  2. Click “START NOW”, then select “Enrol”
  3. Choose PUTME and enter your JAMB registration number
  4. Verify your details and proceed
  5. Pay ₦2,000 (excluding bank charges) via card or bank transfer
  6. Upload scanned copies of all required documents (JPG format, 120KB–150KB)
  7. Preview your details, confirm, and click Finish
  8. Print your confirmation slip for records

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Successful candidates must accept admission offers within two weeks of being offered, or risk losing their spot.
  • Ensure your WAEC or NECO results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal at an accredited CBT centre.
  • Beware of fraudsters: AKSU does not recognize agents or third-party admission handlers. Payments should be made strictly through the university’s official portal.
