International E-Waste Day 2025: Nigerian Students Invited to Join National Essay Competition
The International E-Waste Day (IEWD) 2025 will take a creative turn in Nigeria as the E-Waste Producer Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria (EPRON), in collaboration with partner organizations, has launched a nationwide essay competition for secondary school students.
The initiative is part of global efforts to raise awareness about the growing challenge of electronic waste (e-waste) and encourage young Nigerians to lead the conversation on environmental sustainability.
What the IEWD Essay Competition is About
The IEWD 2025 Essay Competition is open to both junior and senior secondary school students across Nigeria. It goes beyond writing—it challenges participants to think critically about the dangers of e-waste and how society can better manage it.
