UNIMAID Extends 2025 Post-Admission Screening Deadline to September 30 — See Requirements and How to Apply
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially extended the deadline for its 2025/2026 Post-Admission Screening Exercise, giving fresh hope to thousands of candidates who are yet to complete their applications.
Originally scheduled to close on Thursday, September 11, 2025, the online screening portal will now remain open until Tuesday, September 30, 2025. University officials made it clear that this is the final extension and no further grace period will be given.
What This Means for Candidates
This extension provides another opportunity for UTME and Direct Entry applicants who have either not activated their screening profile or have pending submissions. Admission season is here, and UNIMAID is urging candidates not to wait until the last minute.
From Monday, August 11, 2025, the portal has been open for Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening, and with this extension, applicants have just a few more weeks to finalize their registration.
Who Can Apply for UNIMAID Screening?
- First-choice applicants: Only candidates who chose UNIMAID as their first choice in the 2025 JAMB.
- UTME candidates: Minimum score of 150 (note: some courses require higher cut-off marks).
- Direct Entry candidates: At least Lower Credit in ND/HND or Merit in NCE.
- O’Level requirements: Minimum of five credits including English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Correct subject combination: As specified by JAMB for your chosen course.
- JAMB CAPS upload: O’Level results must be uploaded to your JAMB CAPS profile.
- Accepted results: Only results directly sourced from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB websites or certified photocopies will be valid.
Screening Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 via the Remita platform.
Step-by-Step Application Guide
- Visit the UNIMAID website and click on the Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening link, or go directly to UMSTAD Online
- Log in with your JAMB Registration Number as username and use the default password: unimaid@2025.
- Upload a recent passport photo (not less than 200KB) and select your course of study.
- Enter your active phone number and email, then generate your Remita invoice and pay the ₦2,000 fee.
- Fill in your bio-data, O’Level/Advanced Level results, and upload all required documents.
- Review carefully, then submit your application.
