IBBU Lapai Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME Online Screening — Deadline, Requirements, and Step-by-Step Guide

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry online screening exercise.

The exercise, which is strictly for candidates who chose IBBU as their first choice in the 2025 UTME or Direct Entry, runs from Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Only applicants who meet the set requirements will be considered, and the university warns that failure to complete the process will lead to disqualification.


Who is Eligible?

  • UTME Candidates: Must score 150 and above in the 2025 UTME and ensure their O’level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
  • Direct Entry Candidates: Must upload scanned copies of IJMB, NCE, or Diploma results. Note: A’Level NABTEB results are not accepted.

Step-by-Step Guide to the Screening Process

IBBU has simplified the online screening into three key stages. Candidates are advised to follow each step carefully:

Stage 1 – Eligibility Check

  • Enter JAMB registration number to confirm eligibility.
  • Provide valid phone number and O’level details (maximum of two sittings).
  • Supported exams include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and NBAIS.
  • Enter result checker (scratch card) pins for verification.
  • Generate a transaction ID/invoice for payment.
  • Screening fee: ₦2,000 only.

Stage 2 – Payment

  • If using Branch Collect, print the invoice slip and pay at any listed bank.
  • If using webPAY, proceed with online payment directly on the portal.
  • Clear instructions are provided at every step.

Stage 3 – Result Submission

  • After payment confirmation, log in with details sent via SMS.
  • Enter O’level/DE results and other required data correctly.
  • Print the acknowledgement slip for personal record.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • False information = automatic disqualification.
  • A maximum of two O’level results is allowed.
  • Candidates with Awaiting Result (AR) status must upload results before the admission process ends.
  • Only candidates who complete the screening will be considered for admission.
