UNIJOS Post-UTME/DE Screening 2025/2026: Everything You Need to Know

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The screening exercise will run fully online from Monday, August 18, 2025, to Tuesday, September 30, 2025. This means no long queues, no physical submission of forms — just a simple digital process through the UNIJOS admission portal.

Who is Eligible?

Not every applicant qualifies automatically. Here’s the breakdown:

  • UTME Candidates: Must have scored at least 180 in the JAMB UTME. (Some courses require higher scores — see cut-off list below).
  • Direct Entry (DE) Applicants: Must complete the online registration and pay the screening fee.
  • O’Level Upload: All candidates must upload their O’level results on JAMB CAPS before registering.
  • First Choice Requirement: Only applicants who selected UNIJOS as their first choice can access the portal.

Step-by-Step Guide to Registration

Follow these steps carefully to avoid mistakes:

Step 1: Create an Account

  1. Visit the University of Jos portal
  2. Select “FORMS APPLICATION” and choose “2025 UTME/DE Screening”.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Started”.
  4. Fill in your details, submit, and check your email for an activation link.

Step 2: Pay the Screening Fee

  1. Return to the portal and log in with your email and password.
  2. On your dashboard, click “Make Payment” and follow the instructions.
  3. Print both your portal receipt and the Remita receipt sent to your email.
  4. After payment, click “Proceed” and print your screening summary slip.

Key Reminders for Applicants

  • Check departmental cut-off marks before registering. If you do not meet it, you must apply for a change of course on JAMB CAPS.
  • Upload your O’level results to JAMB CAPS before starting the registration.
  • Accept admission on JAMB CAPS within four weeks once offered — otherwise, it will not reflect on the UNIJOS portal.
  • Missing any of these steps could delay or block your admission.

Final Thoughts

The UNIJOS portal closes on September 30, 2025. While that may seem far off, time moves quickly. Don’t wait until the last minute — network issues or missed deadlines could cost you admission.

This screening is not just a formality; it is the official gateway into UNIJOS. Only those who meet the requirements and complete the process will secure their admission. Act early, register correctly, and stay ahead.
