Ekiti State University Post-UTME & Direct Entry 2025/2026: Screening Begins August 13 — No Exam Required

The gates are open once again at Ekiti State University (EKSU), and the race for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session has officially begun. This time, the process comes with a big twist — no written exam. Just a simple online screening, and you’ll know if you’re in or out.


Key Dates & Eligibility

The screening exercise will start Wednesday, 13 August 2025. Here’s what you need to know:

  • UTME candidates must have scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB.
  • You must be willing to make EKSU your first choice on the JAMB CAPS.
  • Pre-Degree and JUPEB graduates from EKSU who passed are welcome to apply.
  • Awaiting results? You can apply as soon as your WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results are released.

Departmental Cut-Off Marks

Some competitive courses have higher score requirements:

  • Medicine & Surgery – 260
  • Law – 250
  • Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy) – 240
  • Nursing Science – 230
  • Medical Laboratory Science – 220
  • Mass Communication – 200
  • Engineering – 180
  • Computer Science – 180
  • Medical Biochemistry – 180

If your score falls short for these, there are still other programmes available. EKSU also accepts JUPEB with at least 7 points (IJMB not accepted).

Step-By-Step Application Process

  1. Visit EKSU application portal and click ADMISSION.
  2. Sign up with a valid email and phone number. Confirm your email.
  3. Log in using your email or JAMB registration number and your chosen password.
  4. Select 2025/2026 PUTME application and enter your JAMB number.
  5. If EKSU is your first choice, your details will appear automatically; otherwise, fill them in manually.
  6. Click PAY NOW to pay the screening fee online.
  7. Upload a 1×1 coloured passport photo with a red background (JPEG).
  8. Enter your O’Level results from not more than two sittings.
  9. Preview, confirm, submit, and print your screening slip.

Direct Entry Requirements

  • Engineering applicants: Upper Credit from a recognised polytechnic.
  • Other courses: Lower Credit accepted.
  • NCE holders with Credit/Merit in relevant subjects can apply for Education courses.
  • Direct Entry applicants must send transcripts to [email protected] before Friday, 19 September 2025.

Important Notes for All Applicants

  • NECO result holders must submit their Result Verification Tokens to the Admissions Office via [email protected].
  •  If you do not have one, get it from the NECO verification page 
  • No screening = no admission.
  • Providing false information will lead to automatic disqualification.
