YSU Post UTME & Direct Entry Form 2025: Everything You Need to Know Before 4th September Deadline
YSU has officially opened its Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening application for the 2025/2026 academic session. Whether you’re a UTME or Direct Entry candidate, this guide breaks down everything you need to know—from eligibility and departmental cut-off marks to deadlines and application steps.
Screening Dates
Application Period:
Thursday, August 7 – Wednesday, September 4, 2025
Time is ticking. You only have until September 4th to complete your application. Don’t wait until the last minute.
Who Is Eligible?
For UTME Candidates:
- Must have selected Yobe State University (YSU) as first choice in JAMB.
- Must score 150 or above in the UTME. ⚠️ Note: Some departments require higher scores. See cut-off marks below.
For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:
- Must possess relevant A’ Level, NCE, IJMB, or diploma qualifications related to your chosen course.
- Must have at least five O’ Level credit passes including English and Mathematics.
- All results (O’ Level and A’ Level) must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS. No upload, no admission.

How to Apply for YSU Post UTME 2025
Follow these simple steps to complete your application:
- Generate a Remita RRR at a trusted cyber café or online.
- Pay ₦2,000 through Remita (online or at any bank).
- Print your payment slip after successful payment.
- Visit the YSU Post UTME Portal and complete your application with correct details.
Important Reminders
- YSU must be your first choice on the JAMB portal. If not, use the change of institution option.
- If you don’t meet the cut-off mark for your department, consider changing to a suitable course via JAMB.
- Ensure all your results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS before the deadline.
- False information during registration can lead to disqualification.
- The application portal closes September 4th, 2025. Mark your calendar!
