Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME & DE Screening — Here’s How to Apply Now
If you’re targeting Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri for admission this year, the gates are now officially open. The institution has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening — and it’s time to act fast.

When Did Registration Start?
The online application portal went live on Monday, July 28, 2025. From now until the deadline (yet to be announced), eligible candidates can apply from the comfort of their homes.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Let’s break it down:
For UTME Candidates
- You must have scored at least 150 in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
For Direct Entry (DE) Applicants
- You must possess NCE, OND, HND, A-Level, or a recognized first degree in a relevant field.
Bonus Info: Even if Alvan Ikoku wasn’t your first-choice institution, you can still apply! But you must change your institution to Alvan Ikoku via any JAMB office or approved CBT centre before applying.
Important Note:
If you haven’t uploaded your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS, you will not be considered. Upload it now or forget admission.
How to Apply for AIFUE Post-UTME/DE 2025
Applying is fully online and simple if you follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the official website.
- Click on Portal.
- Access the AIFUE Portal.
- Choose the Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening form.
- Select your preferred programme (Degree Regular, Direct Entry, or Post-NCE).
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click Proceed.
- Fill the form accurately and completely.
- Print your invoice.
- Pay the required fee at Alvana Microfinance Bank or any other commercial bank via Remita.
- Return to the portal to complete and submit your application.
Documents to Upload Before You Submit
Prepare and upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph
- Your O’Level result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
- Birth certificate
- Local Government Identification letter
Once uploaded and submitted, print your confirmation page and keep it safe. It will be needed later.
