IMSU Opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Application Portal
Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, has officially commenced applications for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. If you selected IMSU as your first choice—or plan to—this is your golden opportunity to secure admission into one of Nigeria’s prestigious state universities.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
To be eligible for the IMSU Post-UTME screening:
- You must have chosen IMSU as your first choice in the 2025 UTME.
- You must have scored 150 or above in your JAMB examination.
Didn’t choose IMSU originally?
You can still apply! Simply change your institution on the JAMB portal to IMSU as your first choice—before the application deadline.
Direct Entry (DE) Applicants
If you are applying through Direct Entry, you need to possess one of the following:
- OND
- HND
- First Degree
- A-level or equivalent in relevant subjects
Important:
All Direct Entry applicants must upload their academic results to the JAMB portal. Failure to do so means your application won’t be considered. If your O’level result is still pending, you should upload it immediately once it’s available.
Step-by-Step Guide to Apply
Follow these easy steps to complete your application:
- Visit the official IMSU portal: IMSU’s portal
- Click on “2025/2026 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to verify your eligibility
- If eligible, use your JAMB Registration Number as your invoice number
- Pay the ₦2,000 application fee
- Generate your payment receipt
- Wait 24 hours, then return to the portal to complete the rest of your application
- You can pay conveniently via IMSU Microfinance Bank
- Print your acknowledgement slip and bring it along to the screening venue

The application portal will close on Monday, August 4, 2025.
No entries will be accepted after this date, so ensure you apply before the deadline.
