AFIT Remedial Admission 2025/2026: A Second Chance for Students Seeking Degree Entry
The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has officially opened applications for its Remedial Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. This opportunity, under the School of Basic and Remedial Studies, offers a one-session academic upgrade designed to help students bridge admission gaps and qualify for future degree programmes.

If you didn’t meet the JAMB cut-off or your O’level result was incomplete, this remedial programme may be the opportunity you need. The programme runs over one full academic session—two semesters of intensive academic preparation.
Who Can Apply?
AFIT’s remedial programme is open to candidates who:
- Scored below the JAMB cut-off mark
- Applied to AFIT or any other university/polytechnic
- Have incomplete O’level results (e.g., missing credit in English or Mathematics)
Candidates are still expected to complete their required O’level subjects before they can be admitted into any degree programme.
Entry Requirements
For Social and Management Sciences:
- A minimum of five credit passes in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB)
- Credits must include English and Mathematics
- At least two credits should be from social arts subjects; others can be from general social sciences
For Engineering and Sciences:
- Five credit passes including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- Results must be from not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB
Programme Duration
The remedial course runs for one academic session, which includes two full semesters of lectures, tests, and examinations.
What Happens After the Programme?
Candidates who:
- Pass all remedial examinations, and
- Meet the UTME cut-off score,
…will be considered for admission into AFIT’s degree programmes—based on performance and space availability in their chosen departments.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the AFIT Remedial Application Portal.
- Select the 2025/2026 academic session
- Complete the online application form
- Make a payment of ₦10,000 using an Interswitch-enabled ATM card
- Print out your completed application form—you’ll need this and your O’level results during registration

- Opening Date: June 27, 2025
- Closing Date: July 26, 2025

AFIT strongly warns applicants against fraudulent practices. No additional payments are required beyond the official ₦10,000 fee. The institute does not authorize any third-party agents for admissions. Report any suspicious request immediately.
