Do you work closely with refugee or marginalised communities? Are you leading a grassroots effort that’s already making a difference? Then the 2025 Western Union Foundation Fellowship, in partnership with the Watson Institute, might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
Applications are now open for this globally respected 16-week fully-funded online programme designed to support impact-driven individuals like you.
What the Fellowship Offers
Selected fellows will receive practical, high-impact training and support to scale their community projects. Here’s what you can expect:
- Live virtual training sessions with experienced instructors
- One-on-one mentorship to keep you focused and moving forward
- Seed funding and resources to kickstart a community-based project known as a “Basecamp”
- A global network of peers working on similar challenges
You’ll be learning alongside people who understand the journey — many of whom have turned small beginnings into large-scale impact.

- You currently live or work in one of the following countries:
Nigeria, Uganda, United Kingdom, India, Brazil, United States, Germany, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Lithuania, Philippines, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, or Bangladesh
This fellowship focuses on action, not formalities. What matters most is the work you’ve already done and your potential to grow it.
