Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Africa Scholarship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of an African country.
- Academic Requirements: You should have a First Class Honours degree with a GPA of 80% or higher in your bachelor’s degree.
- Admission: Apply for and gain unconditional admission to a master’s programme at Wageningen University before the scholarship deadline.
- Exclusivity: Ideally, you should not have already completed a master’s degree.
Application Timeline
The scholarship is by invitation only, meaning candidates cannot apply directly. If you meet the eligibility criteria, follow these steps:
- Apply for MSc: By 1 February 2025, submit your application for a master’s programme at Wageningen University.
- Selection: By 13 March 2025, around 40 candidates will be invited to proceed with the selection process.
- Assignment: By 25 March 2025, complete and submit a required assignment.
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates (about 20) will be invited for online interviews between 22 April – 1 May 2025.
- Final Results: By 8 May 2025, the final list of scholarship recipients will be announced.
