Connect NextGen Hackathon 2026 Now Open for Nigerian Startups

Applications are now open for the Connect NextGen Hackathon 2026, a national initiative powered by Ericsson, in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria and Tech Revolution Africa. The programme aims to identify, support, and scale early-stage tech startups developing solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges.

Startups across Nigeria have until 10 March 2026 to submit applications online. Selected teams will participate in an 8-week acceleration programme, receiving mentorship, exposure, and access to strategic partners to help turn innovative ideas into sustainable, impact-driven ventures.

The hackathon welcomes startups innovating in:

  • Telecommunications: Boost connectivity and digital access
  • FinTech: Enhance payments, banking, and financial inclusion
  • HealthTech: Improve healthcare delivery and outcomes
  • AgriTech: Increase farming productivity and food security
  • EdTech: Enhance learning and skills development
  • Internet of Things (IoT): Enable smart systems through connected devices
  • CleanTech: Develop clean energy and environmental solutions
