FUNATO 2025/2026 Academic Calendar Out: Session Resumes 6 March, First Exams from 6 July

The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. Students and staff can now plan around critical dates, including resumption, registration, orientation, lectures, and examinations.

The 2025/2026 session is set to resume on Friday, 6 March 2026, with registration running from 6 to 10 March 2026. Orientation for new students is scheduled between 11 and 19 March 2026, while first semester lectures begin 23 March 2026. The matriculation ceremony for new students will hold on 22 April 2026.


First Semester Schedule

  • Lectures End: Friday, 26 June 2026
  • Lecture-Free Week / Revision: 29 June – 3 July 2026
  • Examinations: 6 – 17 July 2026
  • Semester Break: 20 – 31 July 2026
  • Senate Consideration of Results: Wednesday, 12 August 2026

The first semester comprises 12 weeks of lectures, 1 week of revision, followed by 2 weeks of examinations and 3 weeks of result processing.

Second Semester Schedule

  • Lectures Begin: Monday, 3 August 2026
  • Lectures End: Friday, 23 October 2026
  • Lecture-Free Week / Revision: 26 – 30 October 2026
  • Examinations: 2 – 13 November 2026
  • Result Processing: 16 – 27 November 2026
  • Senate Consideration & Session Close: Monday, 30 November 2026

The second semester mirrors the first, with 12 weeks of lectures, 1 week of revision, 2 weeks of exams, and 3 weeks of result processing.

Looking Ahead: 2026/2027 Academic Session

The next academic session, 2026/2027, is slated to commence on Monday, 14 December 2026. Students and staff are advised to keep this calendar close to stay ahead in planning academic activities.
