How to Apply: Two Routes Explained
MAU outlined two clear pathways for interested applicants, depending on their original JAMB choice.
1. Change of Programme (For Candidates Who Chose MAU as First Choice)
UTME or Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected Modibbo Adama University, Yola as their First Choice but were not admitted into their initial courses can apply to switch to any of the new programmes.
This option is open only to candidates who:
- Have similar JAMB subject combinations, and
- Meet the stated O’Level requirements
2. Change of Institution to MAU Yola (For Candidates Who Did Not Choose MAU)
Candidates who did not initially choose MAU Yola are advised to carry out a Change of Institution to Modibbo Adama University through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
Once the change is completed, eligible candidates can then be considered for admission into any of the newly approved courses.
Why This Matters
Education analysts say the introduction of courses like Data Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and Forensic Science positions MAU to better align with global workforce demands and Nigeria’s digital economy drive.
For prospective students, the move also means more admission opportunities in a federal university with NUC-backed programmes.
