UNILAG Consult Opens Recruitment for Five Strategic Roles, Sets 35-Year Age Limit

The University of Lagos Consultancy Services Limited, UNILAG Consult, has announced a new round of internal and external recruitment, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for five strategic positions aimed at strengthening its consultancy, research, training, and technical service delivery.

In a statement released by management, the consultancy arm of the University of Lagos said it is seeking proactive, result-driven, and professionally grounded candidates who can add value to its expanding operations. Applications are open to both internal and external candidates, with submissions closing four (4) weeks from the date of publication.

Positions Available at UNILAG Consult

UNILAG Consult confirmed that vacancies are open across IT, laboratory services, and business development, reflecting its multi-sector consultancy focus.

1. IT Officer

Candidates applying for this role must possess:

• HND or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Practical experience in systems support, networking, and IT infrastructure management
• Professional IT certifications will be an added advantage and may improve selection chances

2. Assistant Laboratory Officer

Requirements include:

• ND, HND, or B.Sc. in Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Basic laboratory experience and competence in handling lab equipment
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, which is considered essential

3. Business Development Officer (Engineering Background)

Applicants must have:

• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in business development, consultancy services, and proposal writing
• Strong client engagement and relationship management skills

4. Business Development Officer (Training and Capacity Building)

This role requires:

• B.Sc. or HND in Social Sciences, Management, Education, or related fields
• Proven experience in training programmes and capacity development initiatives
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders clearly and effectively

5. Business Development Officer (Research and Survey)

Eligible candidates should possess:

• B.Sc. or HND in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or similar disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in research, surveys, data collection, analysis, and reporting

General Requirements for All Applicants

• Be not more than 35 years of age
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and integrity
• Be able to work effectively in a consulting and results-oriented environment
