ABU Announces Certificate Collection Schedule for 2024/2025 Graduands

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially released the timetable and procedures for the collection of certificates by its 2024/2025 graduands. The exercise will run for five days, from Monday, 2 February 2026, to Friday, 6 February 2026, with collection venues strictly arranged by faculty.

University authorities urged graduands to carefully follow all payment and clearance steps, warning that proxy collection will not be allowed under any circumstances.


Certificate Collection Dates

Certificates will be issued within the following period:

  • Monday, 2 February 2026
  • Friday, 6 February 2026

Graduands are expected to attend only within this window and at the venue assigned to their faculty.

ABU has grouped faculties under specific collection centres. Graduands must report to the correct venue to avoid delays.

Approved Fees for Certificate Collection

ABU has outlined three mandatory payments, each costing ₦4,000:

  • Certificate Collection Fee – ₦4,000
  • Alumni Fee – ₦4,000
  • Directorate of University Advancement Fee – ₦4,000

Total payable: ₦12,000

All payments must be made strictly at the ABU Microfinance Bank. Payments through other banks or channels are not recognised.

Step-by-Step Guide to Certificate Collection

Graduands are advised to follow the process below in the stated order:

Step 1: Make Payment

  • Pay all required fees at ABU Microfinance Bank only.
  • Keep payment tellers safe and untampered.

Step 2: Present Tellers and Obtain Receipts

Present your tellers and collect official receipts at:

  • University Cash Office (Room 014C), Senate Building
  • Alumni Office

Step 3: Collect and Validate Clearance Form

  • Obtain clearance form from Room 115, Academic Affairs Office
  • Proceed to 3rd Floor, Room 305A, Senate Building for clearance validation

Step 4: Submit Documents for Certificate Release

  • Submit the signed clearance form and payment receipts to the designated officers at the Academic Affairs Office
  • This final step clears your file for certificate issuance

Important Reminders for Graduands

  • Original student I.D. card is compulsory
  • Certificate collection by proxy is strictly prohibited
  • Incomplete clearance or missing documents will delay collection
