ReAct Africa Opens Applications for AMR Leaders Program 2026 (Cohort 4) for Tertiary Students

ReAct Africa has officially opened applications for Cohort 4 of the AMR Leaders Program for Tertiary Students in Africa, a hybrid leadership and skills-building programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and tools to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The programme is open to tertiary-level students currently studying in Africa, and applications must be submitted on or before 23 January 2026.


What the AMR Leaders Program Is About

The AMR Leaders Program is a structured hybrid training programme implemented by ReAct Africa. It combines online learning with interactive engagement, allowing participants to learn, collaborate, and design practical solutions to reduce the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance.

The 2026 cohort will run from February to May 2026, with activities spread across the period.

Participants will engage through:

  • Virtual lectures
  • Webinars
  • Group discussions
  • Interactive, constructive sessions
  • Experiential and practical learning activities

This blended approach ensures students not only understand AMR but also learn how to apply solutions within their institutions and communities.

Who Can Apply

  • Young people interested in public health, science, policy, advocacy, or community action related to AMR
