The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) timetable. This is the critical exam taken by students in Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS3) as they prepare to move into Senior Secondary School.
Exams will hold from Monday, May 12 to Friday, May 23, 2025, with both core and elective subjects scheduled across the 10-day period.

β Exam Day Guidelines β What You MUST Know
To avoid disqualification or missed papers, follow these important rules:
- Bring your photocard to the exam venue β this is your ID.
- If question paper time differs from the timetable, follow the paper.
- Practical exams (Business Studies, Creative Arts, Basic Science) should be done in batches if tools are limited.
- All practicals must end by 5:00 pm.
- Use of calculators, phones, tablets, smartwatches, or any digital device is strictly banned.
- Extra 30 minutes allowed for albino and blind candidates.
- Blind students must write on NECO-approved Braille sheets only.
