Explanation
When a toad is in water during breeding, the entire body is not submerged. Loss of water by evaporation occurs through the exposed thin and moist skin. T he body fluid of toad is hypertonic to fresh water. Thus water enters the body of toad through the thin skinned with blood vessels by osmosis.
