D - Mutualism is an association between two unrelated organisms in which each benefits. The two partners algae and fungus form very close association called lichen. The algae are spherical in shape and areenclosed by branching hyphae from the fungus. Commensalismis an association between unrelated organisms in which one partner, thecommensal benefits wnile the other the host is unaffected i.e. neither gainsnor is harmed, e.g. Shark and Remora fish. Saprophytism is a mode offeeding in which an organism (using certain bacteriaand fungi) feed on dead organic matter. Parasitism is an association in which one organicm, theparasite lives on another organisn the host and derives benefits from it whilethe host suffers.
