The algae are spherical in shape and areenclosed by branching hyphae from the fungus. Commensalismis an association between unrelated organisms in which one partner, thecommensal benefits wnile the other the host is unaffected i.e. neither gainsnor is harmed, e.g. Shark and Remora fish. Saprophytism is a mode offeeding in which an organism (using certain bacteriaand fungi) feed on dead organic matter.
