Going through the Structure of the 1979 Constitution. one should be able to realizethat the Constitution was similar tothe AmericanPrerdential system of government with separation of powers; The legislature,the Executive, etc.. Coming to the Legislature, it should be n o t e d thatthe National Assembly was made up of the Senate and the House ofRepresentatives. The senate was made up of 95 me members five being electedfrom each state of the Federation.
