Lamarck in his theory of evolution stated that any part of the body that is used constantly like muscles in an athlete tends to develop and enlarge while those parts not constantly used .tend to degenerate and become vestigial like caecum and appendix in man. Mendel deals . with genetics (heredity and variation). He proposed laws of heredity. Darwin proposed laws of organic evolution by natural selection. Pasteur deals with pasteurization which is the process of killing or retarding the growth of bacteria in milk, alcohol and beverages by heating to a selected temperature of about 60° for 30 minutes or 80°c for 30 seconds and cooled immediately. This kills pathogens while the flavor is restrained.
