Some species of termites have symbiotic protozoans in their guts which digest the cellulose to produce glucose. However other species of termites cultivate-fungus gardens which consist of termite faeces, humus, wood(cellulose). The fungus grows on the cellulose or wood digesting the wood to a state the termite can use. Predation is a mode of feeding in which a bigger animal (predator) feeds on a smaller animal (prey).
