Skeleton is composed of bones and cartilages. It gives support to the body by providing the framework on which muscles are attached to give the body shape. It also protects delicate organs such as eyes by the socket, spinal cord by the vertebrae, sex organs by the pelvic girdle. Joint is a place where two or more bones meet. Ligament is a tough connective tissue which holds bones together at a joint at all times.
