Explanation

Chamelon changes its colour rapidly to match with the colour of its immediate environment to avoid predators because it has special pigment called chromatophores on their body surfaces which effect this change. Communication is a behavioural adaptation exhibited by some animals to enable them to exchangeinformation with members of their species. Examples: (i) male toad makes croakingsound to Indicate his exact position and invite the female toad for pairing and mating. (ii) Hen makes warning sound whenever it sees hawk hovering in the. alert its chicks of impending danger. Attracting mate is also a behavioural adaptation which male animals exhibit to lure the female to sex. Fowl dances in front of the heno display its brightly coloured feathers to arouse the hen. Obtaining food Different species of animals have different methods/structural features for obtaining their food. E.g.. Carnivores have Spiders spin webs to trap preys like houseflies.
