Correct Answer
A
Explanation
Lymphocytes and phagocytes are two major forms of white blood cells. Lymphocytes produce protective substances which give immunity against the invasion of the body by micro-organisms. These protective substances • are antibodies and antitoxins which form the body's immunity system. Antibodies destroy any micro organism that enters the body while antitoxins neutralise toxins produced by micro-organisms that eventually enter into the body. Phagocytes engulf and injest microorganisms that enter the body. Phagocytes are of two types namely : monocytes and pol -morphs. Monocytes are phagocyles with bean-shaped nucleus while polymorphs have nucleus with many lobes.
