 All these options are non gaseous products of plants stored within the cell vacuoles, leaves, stems, bark, roots or in xylem cells. Tannin is found sn the bark of coffee and tea plants. It is used to make ink and, for processing the outer covering of mammals like sheep, cattle called hides to make leather. Gum is obtained from Acacia tree, latex is milky andsticky fluid, that exudes from a cut made on rubber tree and fig tree. It is used in making tyres, gloves and hoses. Resin is fluid that comes from a cut on the trunks of some dicotyledonous plants and many conifer trees e.g. cycas and pinus. It is used to make varnish and oil paint. Oils - plant oils are usually volatile and are obtained from flowers, leaves and bark of plants. Oil is extracted from rose flowers and is used in making perfumes. Nutmeg oil is obtained from nutmeg seeds and is used in the making of cosmetics and drugs. Alkaloids - found in the bayleaves of plants are used in making drugs e.g. quinine an anti malaria drug is obtained from the back of cinchona tree, cocaine from le: of cocoa plants, morphine an aesthetics drug is obtained from the young fruits of the poppy plant
