Saprophytic plantsfeed on dead organic matter. They secrete enzymes through their rhizoids whichdigest the food before they absorb it (extra cellular digestion) e.g.. rhizopus. Symbiotic plants are plants thathave mutual benefits eg. lichen (anassociation between an alga and a fungus).
