Holozoic feeding is the taking in of solid food into the body of an organism. It includes omnivorous, herbivorous and carnivorous feeding.Sundew and bladderwort are plants that trap and feed on insects (i.e carnivorous feeding).These plants live in soil deficient in nitrogen which they require for the" synthesis of protein. To make up for the nitrogen, they trap and digest insects. Saprophytic feeding is the feeding of an organism on dead plants and animais referred to as dead -organic matter e.g some fungi and bacteria. Chemosynthetic feeding is the type of feeding in which certain bacteria e.g iron bacteria, sulphur bacteria etc use chemical energy obtained from the oxidation of some inorganic s u b s t a n c e s t o s y n t h e s i ze carbohydrate from -carbon IV oxide and water.
