Correct Answer

A

Explanation

Halogens dissolve in alkalis for instance, chlorine dissolves in hot concentrated sodium   hydroxide   to give a solution containing a mixture of NaCl and NaClO3- Saying that halogens displace each other from solutions of their salts will mean that any given halogencan displace any other halogen. That is inaccurate. A halogen will only displace halogen(s) that is/are below it in reactivity.
For example, fluorine can despite chlorine, bromine and iodine; chlorine can displace bromine and iodine, bromine can displace or r iodine while iodine will displace none!
