The programme will run <strong>exclusively at the main campus<\/strong>, according to the NUC\u2019s directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why This Approval Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before granting the approval, the NUC carried out a detailed <strong>resource verification<\/strong> at AKSU\u2019s main campus. The visiting panel evaluated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Staffing strength<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lecture halls and classrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Availability of academic materials and resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The commission concluded that AKSU has met the minimum requirements to begin a Law programme. Akpan<\/strong>, who has led major academic reforms within just three months. Under his administration, AKSU has achieved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Creation of the <strong>Faculty of Communication and Media Studies<\/strong> with six departments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishment of the <strong>Faculty of Computing and Information Technology<\/strong> with five departments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successful resource checks and accreditation of <strong>over 30 postgraduate programmes<\/strong> and several undergraduate programmes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishment of <strong>more than 30 research centres and institutes<\/strong> to boost research, innovation, and funding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What This Means for Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of the Faculty of Law opens a new, accessible pathway for students interested in studying Law <strong>within Akwa Ibom State<\/strong>.
