She emphasized that the outstanding performance reflects the University\u2019s dedication to academic discipline and high-quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Breakdown of Graduating Students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>First-Class Degrees:<\/strong> 240<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second-Class Upper Division:<\/strong> 1,479<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second-Class Lower Division:<\/strong> 912<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Third-Class Degrees:<\/strong> 116<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to undergraduate achievements, FUTA will award <strong>867 postgraduate degrees<\/strong>, including <strong>627 MTech<\/strong>, <strong>86 PGD<\/strong>, and <strong>154 PhD<\/strong> awards. Professor Oladiji credited the accomplishments to students\u2019 hard work, faculty support, and a nurturing academic environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FUTA\u2019s Research and Technological Advancement<\/strong><br>Despite challenges in the higher education sector, FUTA continues to strengthen its role as a leading technology-focused university in Nigeria. The institution has made significant progress in <strong>climate and space sciences, agriculture, engineering, and digital technology<\/strong>, with both faculty and students actively participating in <strong>global research collaborations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Highlighting the <strong>Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)<\/strong>, Professor Oladiji encouraged more students to take advantage of the scheme, noting that over <strong>3,000 FUTA students<\/strong> have benefited so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Government Support: Interest-Free Staff Loans<\/strong><br>The Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu\u2019s <strong>Renewed Hope Initiative<\/strong>, has begun disbursing interest-free loans through the <strong>Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund<\/strong>. Education Minister <strong>Dr Tunji Alausa<\/strong> launched the exercise at FUTA, noting that 30,000 applications were received, with <strong>9,000 approvals<\/strong>. He was joined by Minister of State for Education <strong>Professor Suwaiba Ahmad<\/strong> during the presentation of cheques to beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><br>FUTA remains committed to advancing <strong>technological education<\/strong> and fostering <strong>research-driven innovation<\/strong>.
